Sequence of work
Four stages.
Prepare subgrade
Proof-roll, treat soft spots and stabilise where needed, then compact to the design standard.
Build pavement layers
Place, water and compact the sub-base and base in layers, trimming each one to level with a grader.
Seal & open
Prime, seal or lay asphalt, install line marking and signage, then remove temporary traffic management.
