About this directory

Useful guidance. Clear boundaries.

Know what a listing tells you, what still needs checking and how our guides help you prepare a better enquiry.

Where company details come from

Supplier records are provided through the shared iHirePlant directory data service. Names, equipment categories, contact details, locations and hire arrangements reflect the information present in that record. They are not live stock, price or availability feeds.

How to read incomplete information

“Ask supplier” means a field has not been established in the record. It does not mean a service is unavailable. A listed service state indicates published coverage, while a matching address indicates a recorded location. Neither guarantees a local depot holding the machine you need.

What our guides are for

Our editorial guidance helps you organise enquiries, compare the scope of offers and identify missing responsibilities. It is published by Plant Hire Directory as general planning material, not as a claim of firsthand testing or professional engineering advice. Machine selection, operating limits and site requirements must be confirmed with the supplier and competent people responsible for the work.

Sources and current conditions

Location pages use available market descriptions and supplier records, supplemented by clearly identified planning questions. Weather, road access, permits and equipment availability can change; linked primary sources and suppliers should be checked for the current position. We do not manufacture ratings, customer reviews, local offices or price ranges to fill gaps.

Supplier order and commercial placement

Featured records can appear ahead of other suppliers and carry their recorded badge. Other ordering can reflect record completeness, equipment relevance and location matches. Placement is not a quality award. A verification status describes the directory record and is not an independent guarantee of current equipment condition or availability.

Corrections

If a record conflicts with information supplied directly by a business, confirm the detail with that business before booking. Keep the supplier name, page address and the disputed detail when reporting a correction through the directory data provider. For sourcing decisions, the supplier’s current written offer is the relevant reference.
